“You had me at indigo too”
“Between the Seams”, 2026, reimagines the intimacy of Gustav Klimt’s The Kiss through discarded denim, worn textiles and fragments of patterned cloth. Where Klimt used gold leaf to create an idealised and almost timeless vision of love, this work is built from materials that already carry histories of use, movement and touch.
Seams remain visible. Edges meet, overlap and interrupt one another. It refers not only to the physical construction of the work, but to the unseen spaces within human relationships — the memories, vulnerabilities, contradictions and private histories that exist beneath what others see.
